Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf.
Our best efforts at goodness fall short, and this verse is honest about it. The good news is that God meets us in that honesty. He gives righteousness we could not earn.
