BREWED BLESSINGS COFFEE SHOP
It was 2011, and my family had relocated from Lebanon, TN to Flower Mound, TX. Our daughter, Cassie, was starting her Junior Year in High School and was absolutely miserable after being ripped away from the only friends she knew. It got so bad that we moved her to Lewisville High School, wondering if we had made a mistake relocating and praying that things would get better. That decision became the catalyst for the vision of Brewed Blessings.
It was in that moment that she met Collin. Collin is a special needs young man that Cassie met in Circle of Friends, a group that she had started volunteering with. Collin showed Cassie and our family the unconditional love a special needs individual can bring to your life. (It didn't hurt that Cassie would always slip Collin an extra slice of pizza.)
Have you ever been blessed by someone with special needs? Have you ever seen their smile when they've accomplished something? Did you know that over 80% of the adult special needs community is unemployed? It's not because they can't do a job; it's because they don't have the same opportunities most people have.
Five years ago, God put it on my heart to create a place where special needs adults could come to work, a place they could call their own and serve the community they live in.
In 2021, I began the process to see this calling come to reality. From that call, Brewed Blessing was established with the goal of opening a community coffee shop where special needs adults can get meaningful employment and education in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
It is my desire that anyone that works at, volunteers at, or visits Brewed Blessings will walk out blessed and walk away knowing they are making a difference in someone's life.
I hope you will visit Brewed Blessings as we prepare to open in the near future. We are designated as a 501c3 Not for Profit Organization with the IRS,
